Yap Session: Life Update (I’m a fiancée now!!!!!!!!)

If you still haven’t heard.. I’m a fiancée now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry for not yapping much lately, I’ve just been busy with college and also.. kind of just enjoying this new chapter of life. It still feels a bit unreal saying it out loud lol.

After 6 years together, he finally put a ring on it!! I always knew this would happen because getting married has always been our end goal, but I just didn’t know when it would happen. For the past two years, he’s been dropping hints and doing these fake “practice proposals” where he’d randomly get on one knee using literally anything as a ring box–AirPods case, small boxes, anything that opens like a ring box lmao! He always said it was so I wouldn’t see it coming when he would actually do it, and.. yeah, it worked!!

He also started asking me a different kind of future questions–like how much a wedding might cost, how the process of getting a marriage license works, and started constantly talking about wanting our first baby to be a girl (we’ve always talked about having a family someday, but this one became a frequent topic again recently). He said he really wants to be a girl dad one day, which I honestly find so sweet!

So.. in a way, I was prepared–but also not prepared at all. 

There are still, of course, some fears and doubts about the future, but I guess at the end of the day, love wins. So.. I said yes.

That day was so fun! I can’t believe he planned that whole thing! I can’t stop staring at my ring!!

Right before it happened, he asked me to record a video–I thought it was just to capture my reaction to his “gift,” so I didn’t suspect anything. I’m actually really glad he did that because now we have the whole moment saved forever!

We’re also planning to upgrade the ring together once he starts working. I was actually surprised that he remembered I wanted to choose the ring together.. He even got himself a ring too because he didn’t know guys don’t usually get one during proposals, and he said he just wanted everyone to know he’s already “married” haha!

When I said yes, he joked that there’s no taking it back because it’s on video. Not that I’d ever want to. I’m so happy to be able to grow old with the same person I grew up with. I’m so lucky.

..and I knew I made the right choice when he mentioned Paper Rings during his proposal–and of course, as a Swiftie, that sealed the deal even more lmao!

So yeah.. maybe expect a surge of love songs yaps or songs he dedicated to me.. especially from the wedding playlist we made all the way back in 2022 lol!

My family is so happy for us. I’m so happy.

And I can’t wait for this era of my life.
